BLUElab student members watch as the Guatemalan women weave material for the prototype of a wind turbine the students are developing. The students work with Guatemalan women weavers on Woven Wind Turbine project in a Guatemalan village of Nueva Santa Catarina Ixtahuacán. University of Michigan students are designing a wind turbine that uses locally weaved material for wind blades. The students hope that local women in Guatemala will be able to use current weaving skills to generate income and electricity. Nueva Santa Catarina Ixtahuacán.
